It’s so true, it’s unbelievable. Time after time, Nokia excels in sophisticated and innovative design that’s functional and user-friendly. However, this time around it isn’t the highly advanced technology of the Nokia Morph mobile phone or the practicality of mobile sat nav equipment, but the Nokia 6600 fold. Launched amongst a trio of mobile phone offer handsets, the Nokia 6600 stands out from its 6600 slide and 3600 slide counterparts due to the clamshell opening mechanism combining a one-click electromagnetic device with a dampened hinge for smoother moves accessing the phone. As per usual with the Nokia range, ae sthetics are a key consideration, and the mobile phone deal with the 6600 will not disappoint! This high gloss, smooth backed phone comes in “Mysterious Black” and “Sophisticated Purple” – corny names for the colours, but nonetheless visually pleasing.

Amongst the new features that the 6600 fold mobile phone offers is the neat double-tap feature. This feature is also found on the 6600 slide. Due to a built-in accelerometer, all it takes is a simple double tap on these new mobile phones to silence or reject a call, activate the external clock display or snooze an alert.

The Nokia 6600 fold has everything you come to expect from your phone, but with innovative extras. Small in size for a flip phone (87.7 x 44 x 15.9 mm, 110g), but packed with features like a 2 MP 1600x1200 pixel camera, Java MIDP 2.0, Stereo FM radio, MP3 player, with up to 300 hours standby and 4 hours talk time.
